TAG Immobilien AG (TAG) published its ninth Sustainability Report today. This report supplements and complements the financial reporting in the Annual Report published on March 17, 2021 with all material non-financial aspects of the 2020 financial year. Referring to the Sustainability Report, Claudia Hoyer, COO of TAG, says: "We further specified and anchored our sustainability goals in 2020. This will help us to reinforce the integration of sustainability aspects in our business and raise awareness of them. Our sustainability management is a way for us to make a contribution to sustainable business, a society worth living in, and environmental protection. We see affordable housing as a major social responsibility. Satisfied tenants are key to our economic success and future viability." Responsibility towards society - Social sustainability during the Covid-19 crisis In 2020, the non-profit TAG Miteinander Stiftung (TAG 'Together' Foundation) was established. Under the aegis of the foundation, we are strengthening our community activities and improving the living conditions in our neighbourhoods. With the foundation, we want to ensure that people live in good conditions and enjoy being part of a community and a good neighbourhood. The focus is on supporting children and teens, families, and elderly people, as well as people in need who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own. During the pandemic, it is also important to protect our employees, who work on our customers' behalf every day. As a responsible employer, we therefore expanded our occupational safety measures and the options for flexible and remote work, and intensified communication via digital channels. Our corporate culture of appreciation, which is characterised by respectful and transparent interaction, is as crucial to our corporate success as the personal responsibility of each and every individual. Developing our portfolio responsibly - Outlook for 2021 Martin Thiel, Chief Financial Officer of TAG, said: "Our goal is to balance and harmonise economic, ecological, and social interests. With economic stability, we create the conditions for social and ecological commitment. And our social and ecological measures in turn have a positive impact on our long-term economic success. We are pleased that our sustainability approach is also reflected in a very positive assessment by international ESG rating agencies, and that we are one of the leading companies in the real estate sector here."
