DGAP-News: TAG Immobilien AG / Key word(s): Sustainability/Final Results
TAG Immobilien AG publishes 2017 Sustainability Report and Annual Report - Sustainability report follows Global Reporting Initiative (GRI SRS) guidelines for the first time - Increased transparency of Group-wide sustainability activities - Annual Report 2017, published simultaneously, confirms financials of the past financial year as communicated on 22 February 2018 Hamburg (22 March 2018) - TAG Immobilien AG published its first stand-alone, already GRI-certified Sustainability Report today. The new report explains the strategies pursued for key aspects in the areas of business/economy, ecology, and social sustainability. The report supplements the Group's financial reporting by covering material non-financial aspects of its sustainable business development for the 2017 reporting year. Claudia Hoyer, CEO of TAG Immobilien AG, refers to the company's sustainability strategy: "To safeguard our long-term business success, we take an integrative, holistic view of sustainability aspects along the entire value chain. Our economic success forms the basis of our ecological and social engagement." She adds: "Thanks to the close integration of the three sustainability areas, positive effects arise at all levels, and this is reflected in our economic success as well." Sustainability is deeply relevant for TAG as a long-term manager of residential real estate, and implies a special responsibility. With the present report, TAG puts its annual Sustainability Reporting on a broader footing, and for the first time follows the internationally recognized guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI SRS). The idea of sustainability, which was previously put into practice especially in social projects, has by now become a recurring theme throughout all of the company's divisions and departments. Detailed reporting significantly increases transparency regarding all of TAG's sustainability activities. This report is the first step in this direction. Beyond reinforcing and continuing the initiated measures, the idea is to further expand our reporting - especially on ecological aspects - using the database created, and to intensify our sustainability management.
